our new-normal in times of COVID
(this page will be updated if covid-related regulations change).
OBRAS PORTUGAL
Portugal is at the end of its fifth wave. This one was very different from the previous four: the number of positive tests was much higher, but the number of hospitalizations remained low.
When traveling by air you will only encounter vaccinated or negative-tested passengers and personnel (but vaccinations and tests do not give 100% guarantee). In the plane and in the bus trip from Lisbon to Estremoz masks are still mandatory. Most people still wear masks in shops, on markets and other "mass events", even although it is not mandatory anymore. In some restaurants they may still check your QR code. The cultural sector is working with reservations. Once you have arrived at OBRAS the risks are very low. You live in a private apartment in the middle of nature and your fellow residents are all vaccinated or tested negative. If you have hesitations with shopping you can give us your shopping list. |
OBRAS HOLLAND
Also Holland is at the end of the latest wave of COVID. This wave was characterized by very high infection numbers, but no additional hospitalizations.
All restrictions have been by the end of March. Although the majority of people does not wear a mask anymore, your local host: Josien Jongejan, decided to take no risks until COVID is completely over. She will wear a face mask when she meets you. In your residence you will find disinfection-gel, face masks and COVID speed tests. As your residence has two toilets consider one for your self and the other for guests. |
