Poong- gyung is a Korean word with two meanings. One is Landscape, the other is Wind chime (a carillon moves and sounds with the wind).
The Korean art collective BARINAMO (Bari Kim & Namo) presented an performance entitled Poong- gyung in Evoramonte. Duration: 30 minutes. The performance consisted of dance movements, body contact improvisation and singing. The performers responded on the fortress of Evoramonte: the building, the old memories, the echo, the light, space and wind. N18 Evoramonte Installation and performance by Bari Kim and Namo Herdade da Marmeleira, Evoramonte, Portugal 27 September 5 pm Barinamo realized a second project, N18 Evoramonte: a performance in the form of a guided tour along the places where they worked and created during their residency. The intention was a happening outside, but as heavy rains were predicted they did all inside. Namo shared with his audience his feelings and mood when working in the patio. Bari told in a poetic manner what came in her mind while working in studio rossio. Bari and Namo also created installations on their joy when working in the field and on the rain that changed their plans. The slideshow below gives an impression. Most images (and all black and whites) are made by Luis Branco.
